02The opportunity
A delivery journey crosses vehicles, hubs, partners, devices and customer touchpoints. Every handoff creates signals—and opportunities for delay, fraud, tampering or unauthorised access. Agentic AI can continuously connect these events and help operators respond before one anomaly becomes a chain-wide disruption.
Agent behaviour
Follow shipment, scan, route, sensor, access and proof-of-handoff events.
Compare the live journey with expected sequence, location, timing and permissions.
Flag suspicious handoffs, request verification, reroute safely or escalate to an operator.
What to develop
Build an agent around a realistic shipment or supply-chain workflow. It should monitor event data, detect a meaningful trust or security issue, explain the evidence and recommend a safe operational response. Synthetic delivery events are welcome when real data is unavailable.
Recommended structure
Starter concepts
Detect impossible movement, unexplained stops or suspicious route deviations.
Watch temperature and handling events, then explain risk to product integrity.
Cross-check scans, identity and location before accepting proof of delivery or custody.
Combine vendor evidence and operational events to surface changing third-party risk.
Data & references
Use these as a starting point, or create a clearly documented synthetic dataset. Never test on systems or people without permission.
A supply-chain event standard covering what, when, where, why and how—including sensor data and JSON.
